The region’s most comprehensive bariatrics program

For safe, sustained weight loss, there’s no better choice than bariatric care at Ellis Medicine. We have the region’s most comprehensive bariatrics program, designed around your personal goals and the things that matter to you — running after your grandchildren, the freedom to travel, and more. Every member of our team is dedicated to your success, providing friendly, personalized support at every stage. We’ve helped thousands improve their health through surgical weight loss, and we’re ready to help you.

Expertise and experience you can trust

Ellis Medicine is the only program with four board-certified bariatric surgeons on staff. Together, our surgeons have performed more weight loss procedures than all of the other local programs combined, and achieved surgical outcomes that rank Ellis among the best programs in the nation. More surgeons means we can provide more individualized care for each of our patients.

Weight loss options that are right for you

Our nationally recognized program offers proven weight loss solutions, including open surgical procedures and minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures, as well as non-surgical plans to help qualified patients safely lose weight – and keep it off. Our physicians will review all of your options, and help you choose the best path to help you reach your goals and live like you.

Ongoing support for weight loss success

Ellis Medicine’s Bariatric Support Groups give weight loss patients an intimate forum to discuss personal and medical issues. We offer support groups for lap band patients, gastric bypass patients and a general bariatric surgery support group, plus a general bariatric support group in Queensbury for patients from more northern communities. We also have an active online community where patients, staff and friends share their experiences.
